Welcome to the The Catenian Association

The Catenian Association is an international brotherhood of over 10,000 like-minded Catholic gentlemen who practise their faith. They are organised into local groups known as Circles and once a month have a formal meeting followed by dinner. Circles are grouped together into Provinces.

Province 2 extends from London to East Anglia and there are some 500 Catenians in thirteen Circles and one Group within the Province.

The Association was founded in 1908 by the Bishop of Salford and now extends throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, South Africa and Zimbabwe with a very high presence in Australia.

In 2008 there will many special events to celebrate our Centenary. Province 2 will be holding a Gala Dinner in June at the Stock Brook Manor, Billericay and a Mass in Brentwood Cathedral in September. In addition, many Circles will hold their own events. London Central No2 Circle will hold their Centenary Meeting being the second Circle formed in the Association.

The Association has at its heart the great values of family, fellowship and friendship. It gives support to worthy enterprises undertaken by young people through its Bursary Fund, supports Brothers who may fall on hard times through its Benevolent Fund and is a great supporter of vocations and the Clergy.

The Association supports various charities through its local activities.
